Marketing Coordinator
Natalie grew up on the Central Coast of California, bouncing between parents in the dueling wine countries of Monterey and Paso Robles. She graduated Cum Laude from Seattle University in Washington state with a degree in English-Creative Writing, but she always found herself gravitating back to a career in food and wine. After almost a decade in Seattle, she moved back to California and worked in fine dining. This ultimately led her to work at The French Laundry in Napa Valley, where she met her future husband, John, who just so happened to be from Dayton, Ohio. It was a management role in the wine industry that ultimately led to the opportunity to work in marketing, and a personal referral that led her to the role at MII!
Get to Know Natalie
My husband is a former sommelier, and we bonded over our love of wine, but that has now taken a backseat to family life. In 2023, our son John the Fourth was born. We are currently expecting our second child, a girl, due in July 2025. I love to be outdoors: hiking, camping, or just sitting on a warm rock by the river. I also love to cook. I have a passion for all types of Asian cuisine. I even worked as a cook in a James Beard nominated Korean steakhouse in Seattle. I’m very proud of that. I can’t live without a sharp chef’s knife. I wish I took more time to write (and read) particularly creative non-fiction and poetry. I hate when things are out of place; everything needs a home! My favorite quote comes from John Wooden and my time at The French Laundry: “If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?”
