Jim graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After spending a very short amount of time in restaurant management immediately after college, Jim began working at The Cincinnati Insurance Company. In the summer of 1997, almost one year to the day of Jim starting his insurance career at Cincinnati, he left his position as a Business Insurance Underwriter to come work at MII. The rest, as they say, is history … Jim now oversees the operational side of our organization including human resources and technology along with his management and production responsibilities within our Insurance and Health & Benefits Departments. Jim became part of the Agency’s ownership group in 2003 and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor’s (CIC) designation in 2005. Ever since arriving in Xenia Jim has been an active member of the Xenia and Jamestown communities through his work on various community, church and non-profit organizations. Jim and his wife, Amberly, reside in Xenia and have three grown children, Abby, Kylie and Nate.
Get to Know Jim
I have the best family in the world and enjoy spending time with them whenever we are lucky enough to do so. I enjoy watching and rooting for the Buckeyes, Bengals, Reds and many of the other local sports teams. Never have been a reader and really don’t see the enjoyment in it. I have become an exercise person, but definitely not a must have in my life, just a must do for continued health! Love being on a golf course with buddies even when the golf game says otherwise … all it takes is one shot to bring you back. Now that our three children are adulting on their own and out of the house my wife and I have found more time for traveling and searching for good breweries and distilleries in the area. Still working on acquiring a taste for wine, which accordingly to my wife, is one of my many flaws!
